Holy Cross Banquet Hall

I love seeing all of these new weddings sites every weekend....it's making it harder for me to decide on my favorite!! We did this wedding today. Ceremony was in North Side and reception was at the Holy Cross Banquet Hall in Mt Lebanon. It's actually a really classic place! We decorated the sweetheart table and there were two different centerpieces. One was submerged tulips and the other was an arrangement by Paulette (obviously) LOL

Summer Weddings!

It's been a while since I posted. With being a Planner and working another job full, the day never allows enough down time to blog. However, today are some of the photos I've taken at the last couple of weddings that we did this summer.

It's a wedding whirlwind and we just keep booking up for next year already! Busy.busy.busy.

Omni Hotel Wedding

On Sunday June 10, 2012 Paulette and I did a HUGE wedding at the Omni Hotel. By huge, I mean 600 people. It was one of her biggest and my first large wedding. Everything turned out great! Paulette and I jumped in to help with the linens-it's what we do! We are helpers-always helping since 2010 haha. The colors were very rich blues and greens which really made the gold pop.

On a side note, the 600 guest wedding was not the only exciting and big thing around town that Sunday. It was also the Pride Parade as well as a Pirates game andddd the Arts Festival. YAY for Pittsburgh!!! It was acutally a really wonderful time to be downtown setting up etc. We got to see a little bit of everything. The only thing that was a struggle would be the traffic. YAY for Pittsburgh!!!! We love you! Enjoy the photos!

Photo Shoot TAKE 1!

Last month I organized a photo shoot at Hartwood Acres Mansion and the garden and it turned out so great! Photography by: Justina M. Photography and Make by: Pittsburgh stylist Tamie Konzier....let's not forget our model miss fashionista Caito (who designed the dress and bridal jewelry herself!! She did a phenomenal job modeling and I could not have been happier with the outcome. Obviously, Paulette created a stunning masterpiece per usual. It really took everyone's breath away. I'm so excited to have met and worked with such talented women! Wonderful work ladies!

We're still working on getting the photos ready to view. So far we've just been able to view first glances...so hopefully photos will be ready soon! Check back soon!

April weddings continue!

I can honestly say I had so much fun this past April! Weddings, weddings weddings! On April 28th Paulette's nephew was married at Rodman Street Baptist Church. We did set up the night before-shortly after the rehearsal and it turned out quite nice! We did every other pew with bows and flowers. It was one of my first times working a wedding with silk flowers, but of course Paulette did a fantastic job of making everything simply look untouchable! We also set two up draping floral arrangements at the altar. Enjoy the photos of course...moving into May!

Pittsburgh Opera Building

April 21, 2012 was a very busy day for us at The Urban Gypsy! We had a beautiful wedding to do at the Pittsburgh Opera Building. A very close friend of Paulette's was both married and had a romantic reception there, and of course we did the flowers and decor! We work with the bride a lot because she does so many of our brides wedding photos. It was certainly an honor to assist her with her wedding! The flowers were so unique-no centerpiece looked the same! Brilliance!
